The RS-Series RS208X12G 2U 8 Bay 12Gb/s SAS/SATA JBOD Direct Connection Rackmount Enclosure uses SAS 12Gb/s technology with two 12Gb/s SFF-8644 mini-SAS HD cables for incredibly fast throughput. The RS208X12G supports both SATA 6Gb/s or SAS 6Gb/s and 12Gb/s solid state drives and hard drives and is backwards compatible with 3Gb/s SAS and SATA drives. The RS208X12G can support up to eight SAS or SATA drives using only two mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) cables. Drives status information is provided by the LED and all necessary hardware comes standard including mini-SAS HD cable x2, hot-swappable cooling fan, and hard drives tray modules. The RS208X12G is an ideal storage expansion solution for servers or high performance video editing workstations.
